The 30 Balwyn Road project brings together carefully detailed cabinetry across a substantial family home, balancing the practicality of contemporary joinery with the property’s established architectural character.
Throughout the residence, traditional panel profiles, generous proportions and restrained finishes allow the new joinery to sit naturally alongside the home’s coffered ceilings, decorative mouldings and formal interior detailing.
The kitchen forms a central part of the project, with extensive full-height cabinetry, a large island and contrasting grey and white finishes creating a highly functional workspace without losing the sense of scale required by the surrounding rooms. The joinery continues into a dedicated laundry, where panelled cabinetry, integrated appliances, extensive bench space and a substantial central work surface turn a typically utilitarian room into a considered extension of the home.
Bathrooms continue the lighter material language through white panelled vanities and cabinetry, paired with stone surfaces and large windows overlooking the established gardens. Elsewhere, darker full-height cabinetry introduces a more dramatic character while retaining the same traditional detailing and careful proportions.
