The 3 Pickwood Close residence brings together a series of custom joinery elements designed to feel connected throughout the home, from the open-plan kitchen and living areas through to the bathroom, study and outdoor entertaining space.
At the centre of the home, a generous kitchen island makes a strong statement through highly figured grey stone, wrapping the benchtop and sides to create a substantial architectural centrepiece. Crisp white cabinetry and stainless steel work surfaces keep the surrounding kitchen clean and functional, while black fixtures and warm timber elements introduce contrast and connect the space with the adjoining dining and living areas.
The same stone continues beyond the kitchen, forming a long low plinth beneath the television and fireplace and appearing again across the bathroom vanity. In the bathroom, a floating white vanity is framed by the stone benchtop and surround, with twin vessel basins and wall-mounted fittings creating a clean, symmetrical composition.
Custom joinery continues into the study, where full-height panelled storage is paired with a simple timber desk, and outdoors through an integrated BBQ kitchen with generous cabinetry, preparation space and a built-in sink.
By carrying materials, proportions and detailing across several areas of the residence, the project creates a cohesive interior where each piece of joinery feels individually resolved while remaining part of the same home.
