The Department of Justice project brings together a series of carefully coordinated workplace elements designed to support a busy open-plan office environment. A restrained palette of light timber, white work surfaces and soft grey acoustic finishes creates a professional interior that feels organised and contemporary without becoming overly corporate.
Custom timber blade screens are used throughout the workplace to define different zones and introduce warmth into the otherwise neutral interior. Their open vertical form provides a degree of separation between work areas while maintaining sightlines, natural light and a sense of connection across the floorplate. Repeating the same detailing through multiple areas also gives the office a clear and consistent architectural language.
The workstation areas are built around large banks of height adjustable desks, with integrated monitor systems, under-desk storage and grey acoustic screens providing individual definition within the shared workspace. Rounded desk corners and matching screen profiles soften the overall arrangement, while the modular layout allows a substantial number of workstations to sit comfortably within the open office.
